Dr Charlene Camilleri-Zarb has been practising the profession of Advocate for over ten years. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with European Studies Degree (LL.B.) and a Diploma in Notarial Studies (N.P.). In 2011 she attained a Doctorate in Law (LL.D.) from the University of Malta.

Charlene commenced her legal career at the Office of the Attorney General as a Prosecutor and went on to join one of the leading banks as Manager and Adviser on corporate matters, where she was awarded ‘The Outstanding New Recruit Award in 2015’ by the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. She served as Senior Manager with the Regulator of Financial Services and as Senior Legal Adviser to a Group of Companies.  Charlene represented Malta in various fora, amongst which: the European Central Bank, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission.

Charlene represented the Attorney General before the Court of Magistrates as a Court of Criminal Inquiry, and the Republic of Malta in trials by jury before the Criminal Court and the Court of Criminal Appeal.

At the Office of the State Advocate, Charlene assists several Government entities, amongst which: the Office of the Attorney General and the Commissioner of Police. She practices before the First Hall Civil Court (Constitutional Jurisdiction) and the Constitutional Court. She handles a range of high-profile Constitutional cases.
