Dr. Fiorella Fenech Vella (nee’ Mifsud Saydon) graduated Doctor of Laws in 2008, having successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘The concept of Equity as applied in the Small Claims Tribunal’.

That same year she obtained her Diploma in Canonical Marriage Cases, Jurisprudence and Procedure offered by the Maltese Ecclesiastical Tribunal (Dip.Trib.Eccl.Melit.) and a Diploma in Taxation offered by the Malta Institute of Taxation (Dip.Tax). Fiorella was called to the Maltese bar in January 2010. That same year, she completed a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Malta.

Fiorella previously practised in the commercial law sector, focusing on company law and tax law with a renowned audit firm, but has practised litigation ever since joining the Office of the Attorney General in December 2010. As Assistant State Advocate within the Office of the State Advocate since 2021, Fiorella has accumulated a vast experience in Civil, Constitutional and Administrative Law matters and heads a team of five lawyers, serving various Ministries and affiliated departments and entities.
