Dr. Kimberly Zarb graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2015 and was admitted to the bar in 2016. She proceeded to obtain her Master of Laws Degree with Distinction in International Maritime Law, conferred by the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) and was awarded the Comité Maritime International (CMI) Prize for the Best Overall Performance.
Kim joined the Office of the State Advocate in 2022, after having practised civil and commercial litigation in the private sector. She previously also served as a Captain (Legal Officer) in the Armed Forces of Malta for over five years.
Forming part of the Legislation Unit, Kim conducts reviews of primary and subsidiary legislation and provides guidance on the drafting process when so required. Her duties also include vetting of documentation prior to submission to the Cabinet Office.
