Malta’s Oral Observations in the case in relation to the ‘Allegations of Genocide under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide’ (Ukraine v. Russian Federation)

The State Advocate presented Malta’s observations with regards to preliminary objections submitted by the Russian Federation before the International Court of Justice.  The main arguments in Malta’s oral submissions dealt with “the nexus between the Interpretation of the word ‘fulfilment’ and the inherent nature of jus cogens norms”.
